Jonathan Bass Philadelphia Bar Mitzvah Video in HD

Dave:

Wow! You have just blown me away. I loved it. We have such great memories of that day, and those few minutes of video brought it all back.

The funny thing is, I was just talking about you tonight, because I insisted that my good friends, Elaine and Barry, hire you to do their daughter's Bat Mitzvah in May. I was thrilled to hear that they have signed a contract with you, and I am going to forward your email to them to provide a preview of what they have in store. You're the best!

Best regards to you and Sheryl,

Diane

A Bride's Blog: "The Magic of Video"

The Magic of Video
November 7, 2008 by tamarar82
When Carter and I first met Heather Fowler, we weren’t planning on hiring a videographer. We felt that professional photos would be all that we needed to preserve our wedding day memories. Plus, we wanted to budget our money towards really great photography, so we didn’t think we it was reasonable to spend more money on videography.
I think one of the most unique, most unforgettable, and most profound parts of our day was our same day edit . . . I had to try hard not to bawl during the showing of the Same Day Edit. Carter and I didn’t see it until the day of the wedding, so it was extremely emotional. (Photo by Heather Fowler)
Heather asked us if we were considering videography and explained to us that video could complement photography very nicely, and vice versa. She shared a few videographers’ web sites with us, and we delved into the web sites when we got home. Then, we met with a few of our favorites, and DVideography blew us away. Suddenly, videography wasn’t a frivolous extra, but a necessity. [read more]

Adam Segall's Day Off - Youvie: You're the Movie

At this moment, Adam is being introduced into his Bar Mitzvah party with one of our "Youvies" on Blu-ray DVD, distributed to four large plasma screens throughout the venue. The Segall family loved the idea of celebrating Adam's light and mischievous personality by borrowing a page from 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off'. Tonight's Youvie was designed to introduce Adam into the room and open up the party with a laugh.

The Segalls were great sports and fun to work with as we made their Youvie in two days of principal photography and about a week of post-production.

Post a Comment
Dave, hi! I am writing this to let you know what a HUGE hit the youvie "Adam Segall's Day Off" was at the Bar Mitzvah on Saturday! People are STILL talking about it.

Also, many people commented on the montage and how professional your guys were who were at the party that night.

I really enjoyed making this happen with your team, and loved it all!

Thanks again! Hope to be in touch soon, though it is 6 years until Jordan's!!!

Caroline Segall

What's a Youvie? A Youvie is a custom concept video we produce for our clients. DVideography began producing "Youvie Trailers" in 2002 as a way for wedding couples to 'Save The Date' and send out video 'Wedding Invitations'. Since then, we have created Youvies to celebrate bar and bat mitzvahs, birthdays, and anniversaries. We've even created Youvies to spice up several corporate or social events with large screen and plasma displays. The possibilities are only limited by imagination. Trip to Ellis Island and The Statue of Liberty

Temple Brith Achim's Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty Trip from Dave Williams on Vimeo.

It was for the older kids so Danielle was able to go as well as her cousin Alex, but I know Jonathan wished he could have joined us too.

Ironically, I don't have a palmcorder on me as often as I should. Twenty years from now, my kids will accuse me of being the equivalent of the shoemaker's kids' father. So just for fun, I'm sharing this clip from our trip yesterday to New York with Temple Brith Achim.

My pro gear is too big to be convenient on family trips or school events so it's really handy having a little palmcorder around. I'm really enjoying making these little movies that I know will be appreciated many years from now. It reminds me of the one I did three years ago when we surprised them with a Trip to Disney.

Back then I didn't even HAVE a palmcorder convenient for the trip so I borrowed one from my neighbor.
